Ultra
Computers, a division of Insite Technology Limited, which is a wholly
owned subsidiary of Renaissance Corporation Limited. The Ultra brand
was one of the first original clone PC’s to arrive in New
Zealand in 1986 and was ranked one of the top locally-assembled PC
brands. Ultra Computer Company officially began trading in 1992 and was
formed by John Gould and Mark Forbes, focusing on the delivery of
reliable quality products with a strong emphasis on service,
performance, while keeping abreast of the competitive nature of the New
Zealand PC market.
Ultra
was purchased by Insite in 2006. Insite Technology was founded in 1992.
The company’s main business activity is the wholesale
distribution of computer hardware, PCs and peripherals to the IT
industry in New Zealand.
Ultra
survived and excelled in the NZ PC market because they viewed back up
service and support as one of the most important differentiators for
their customers. To this day Ultra and Insite are firmly committed to
providing quality service and support.
Today
Ultra manufactures and distributes the Insite and Ultra range of
personal computers, server products and notebooks, as well as
distributing complementary networking and accessory products.
